On 17 October, a panel of young migrants from Brighter Futures came together at Autograph to put on an event Challenging the Narrative. They debated the biggest issued faced by migrants today in front of over 100 people at our gallery in Shoreditch.
Brighter Futures is a group of young migrants fighting for change. The event was an evening of words and action designed to challenge the public’s perceptions, and present identities rarely found in the media and in public discourse.
Five incredible young people made up the panel of experts and spoke openly and without fear about the impact of UK immigration policy on young people’s lives, their views on the hostile environment, and what they believe needs to change.
